Lifelong passion ...

Creating word pictures began in the West Texas Panhandle, where it is dusty and dry and the wind blows unceasingly. An undaunted adventurer, I was a freckle-faced redhead in pigtails. I roamed the hills and canyons, exploring with enthusiasm and curiosity.

College in Amarillo, then the University of Colorado, taught me mental clarity and organization. Majoring in English, with philosophy, world religions and fine arts, honed my sense of aesthetics, creative structure and harmony.

Since being an Assistant Advertising Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina, my professional editing and writing has spanned 25 industries. Full-time freelance editing and writing began in 1994.

I am currently writing the screenplay for my paranormal light-suspense novel BLOODLINES OF THE MOON, which is being optioned for film rights. Honorable Mention chapter three “Acadia” from Florida CNW/FFWA state chapter-excerpt contest May 2008.

Eleven published books include Finalist 2008, I'm Dancing As Fast As I Can; Third Place 2002, The New Humanity.

My newsletter, Global Citizen, reached an international audience in the 1980s.

215 publications include 9 articles and 4 book reviews in Colorado Springs women’s newspaper Expressions; 57 corporate magazine fillers; 3 articles in CIPA newsletter; 112 excerpts from my metaphysical manuscripts; and 33 vignette poetry.

My nonprofit charity BOOKS FOR IRAQ sent donated books to Iraqi children and U.S. troops in 2004-2007 to inspire hope and provide tools for self-determination.

My spiritual-development books on how to live by a spiritual intention and a compassionate heart. www.spiritualdevelopmentbooks.com
